Authors don't usually get much say in their covers - maybe this is why. When the Avon art department started brainstorming ideas for Sugar Creek's cover, Toni suggested a scene of the Farris family apple orchard and provided this drawing to give them a sense of the layout. As you can see by the final cover, the artists decided to go in a slightly different direction. ; )
